About

Hi, I'm Teen Ledger.

A high school junior who got tired of finance advice that assumed you already had a job, a 401k, and a mortgage.

Why I started this

Most finance content online is written for adults — people with salaries, mortgages, and decades of experience. When I tried to learn about money as a teenager, every article assumed I already understood things nobody had ever taught me.

Schools don't teach personal finance. Parents are sometimes uncomfortable talking about money. And the internet is full of crypto bros and "get rich quick" scams. So I decided to build the resource I wished existed when I was 14.

"Teen Ledger is finance translated into our language — clear, real, and built for people who haven't started their careers yet."

What you'll find here

Every article is written from a teenager's perspective and tested against questions real teens actually have. No financial jargon, no condescending tone, no assumptions you already know what an "ETF" is. Just honest, practical guides on:

💰
Saving
How to save when you don't have steady income
📈
Investing
The basics, explained without confusing terms
💳
Credit
How credit works and why it matters early

My promise

I'm not a financial advisor. I'm a high schooler who reads way too many investing books and wants to share what I've learned. Everything on this site is for educational purposes only — please talk to a trusted adult before making big money decisions.

But I am committed to keeping this site honest, ad-free, and genuinely useful. No sponsored content. No "secret" investing tricks. Just real talk about money for real teens.

Want to chat?

I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Got a question? An idea for an article? Want to share what you're working on? Send me a message or email me at teenledger@gmail.com.
